Up For Adoption

Gabby

Gabby’s journey although had some up’s and downs has been advancing at a steady pace and we are happy to say that Gabby is now ready for her forever home.  She has come leaps and bounds from where she was and with her two brand new hips, she is unstoppable.

Gabby is now approximately 20 months old, eager to learn, is extremely food motivated which helps with training and learning.  She loves car rides, settles well for longer journeys (up to 6 hours), loves playing with toys and treat balls, adores snuggles, is sociable and wants to play with friendly dogs.

Gabby is house trained, will let you know if she needs out even if it is overnight.  She is trained and listens to the sit, wait, down, heel and come commands.  She is cheeky, sassy and full on 110% personality.

We are seeking a home with large breed/Rottweiler experience.  Being that Gabby can be left alone for up to 3 hours, we would like a home where people are around more than not and extended periods for Gabby to be left alone are non existent.  We would prefer a home with a fully fenced yard but not opposed to adopting out to the right family without one.  If there are children in the home, large breed savvy children over 10 years old also preferred as Gabby is easily excitable and can knock a youngster over.

If you are looking for a faithful and loyal companion, look no further. Gabby might just be who you are looking for. We encourage all interested families to apply regardless of whether or not your home suits the full bill.

Gucci

Meet Gucci. Gucci is a 1 year 11 month old male Rottweiler mix that is looking for a new home as his current family member is going back to school and will not have the time to commit to Gucci.

He is up to date on vaccinations but currently not neutered.  Gucci is crate trained and house trained and has also worked with a trainer to stay when someone is at the door, wait before he gets his food, wait at the door before opened and goes into his crate when advised to.  He knows the sit, stay, down and come commands.  Guccidoes pull on lead so he will need someone to work on those manners. Gucci is fearful of fireworks, the vacuum and other loud noises and does not like to be pet, bothered or touched while eating.

He is a very active, playful and affectionate dog that loves the people he knows and is friendly with strangers. He socializes with the neighbourhood dogs on walks and also with the cat at the pet store.  He loves his walks, being outside in general, seeing other animals and gets excited for car rides, loves to look out all of the windows and have the window down and breeze blowing in his face.

Gucci would require a confident handler that will maintain consistency with his routine and structure as well as work with him to no longer pull on lead.  We prefer a Rottweiler experienced family that knows and understands the breed and will not shy away and or give up with the sometimes stubborn behaviour of this beautiful breed.  We prefer a home with a fenced in yard and if children are in the home, to be older and dog savvy.  Gucci would thrive in an active home that loves the outdoors and would not just leave Gucci behind for extended periods.  We encourage all interested applicants to apply regardless of whether your home fits the bill. We understand that it can be difficult to find a home that suits every need but always look for the best fit.

Nala

Meet Nala. A 2 year old Rotti Mix that through no fault of her own is seeking a new home.

Nala’s current family says she is very active, playful, affectionate and friendly with family & friends but at first is leery when meeting larger men in closed off areas. Once shown that it is ok, she tends to relax.

Nala loves all toys, running around in the backyard and cuddles. She thinks she is a lap dog despite her size. She is very food driven and enjoys relaxing outside in the yard.

Nala currently lives with a cat and is very gentle and they play together. The families last cat was older and would run away from Nala and she would chase her but not aggressively she just wanted to play.

Nala requires a home where people are around and will not be leaving her for extended periods. After an extensive period, Nala gets bored and chews. She is house trained, crate trained and understands the sit, stay, down and come commands. Nala does pull on lead so she will require someone to work and be consistent with leash training.

Nala is up to date on vaccines but requires a spay. So a foster or adoptive home that would be able to accommodate Nala until Spay would be great. We would like a family with large breed/ rotti experience and although we would prefer a home with a fully fenced back yard, we would consider otherwise for the right fit. We encourage all interested families to apply regardless of whether or not you fit the full bill.

If you or anyone you know is interested in Nala, please click the ‘Apply To Adopt’ tab listed at the top of our home page and fill in our online application.
