Massey Update - We are happy to announce that our Massey, who has waited for so long to find her forever family has finally gone home. And as we always say ... those that wait the longest, wait for the best. She will now be her mom’s “one and only” and we believe she will have such an amazing life with her new mom. Here is a brief update from Massey (now known as Molly) new mom.

Hi Renee: The little girl (Now Named MOLLY) arrived safe and sound on Saturday at 5:30 PM. She had a wonderful evening taking stock of everything in the house. She now seems to have settled in and the Barking has just about stopped. We have been doing a lot of walking which is something she loves to do and hopefully this will take of her weight problem. One thing at a time.

I will keep you posted on her progress and hope to get some nice pictures out to you soon. Thanks for everything you have done for us. She is a wonderful little girl and I am so glad I found her. Talk to you soon Renee. All the best. Shirley

I would like to thank Jody for reaching out to our rescue to help find a good home for Massey. I would also like to give a HUGE thanks to Debbie who met Jody and took little Massey into her heart and home until transport could be arranged.Congratulations Molly!!

Happy Trails from all your friends at ANML-RESQ!

Winnie Update - All of us at ANML-RESQ are super happy to announce that Winnie has found a foster home and once she is completely vetted she will be officially adopted by her foster dad, Bill.

It broke our hearts knowing she had been waiting for quite some time for a rescue commitment and when Bill sent in his application for Winnie, we were thrilled. Here is an update from Bill of Winnie’s first night.

OMG...she is beautiful! She is amazing. Did OK in the dog wash last night. Frightened with sudden loud noises. Walks well on leash, does not pull. Slept in kennel for most of the night. I got up at 5 and to her outside. She slept with me till 7:30.

We have had breakfast, and been on a walk. She has peed and pooped. Getting use to environment. Seems to love being by the front door. Pictures of living area at my place as well as others. I am loving having her here with me. Thanks, Bill

Winnie, who will soon be renamed is having the time of her life and we think she and Bill make an amazing pair!!

And ...

Please do not look at the pic yet until you read first! Boxers will entertain you, they are the clowns of the dog world. This is a first. I asked her to sit and gave her a cookie. I was in the kitchen around the corner and I heard a strange noise.

I came out to this! My Christmas came early this year. Santa made the deposit himself! BTW, the cookie is n with her.

Pia Update - I received a great update and pictures of my previous foster Pia. We sure do miss her but love that I am in touch with her family and get to see Pia grow into the stunning beauty that she is.  And as you can see from her mom’s update, she still knows how to “work it” (-: Here is a short update from Pia’s mom, Jill:

I haven't met a person or dog who she doesn't try and molest. As a matter of fact, she has the highest play drive I've seen (at least with my dogs and friends' dogs).

She doesn't settle down until I tuck her in at night - which means I have to form a donut with my legs so she can crawl into them and collapse from exhaustion

Even though I got her when she was 5 months old, it didn’t matter how much she grew, she still kept that adorable puppy face.

Lola Update - We received another fantastic update and pictures from Lola's foster family. She is such a sweetheart. We love, love, love seeing pictures of Lola and Kilo. I don't think they could get much closer and it is so nice to see Lola trusting and learning more every day. It sounds like she truly wants to please - good girl Lola Bean!!!

Hey Ladies, Just an update on Lola. Not much to say aside from the fact that every day she amazes us with her drive and knowledge. She learns things so quickly and it blows my mind. She is an extremely smart attentive girl and her growth in trust for us and Kilo is amazing.

We’ve been working on her stay quite a bit lately because she gets so excited when one of us comes home. We hear the other pull in the driveway so we’ve been working on sit and stay until the other comes in the door from work and don’t allow them to go see until we are in, bag down and shoes off and settled.

You will see a picture of the pair of them sitting and staying from the other night. I had her stay there for about 3 minutes without a treat so she’s coming along well. She is now voluntarily staying at the bottom of the stairs until we walk up them. The odd time she starts to walk/run up but we tell her to get back down and she does and waits. She’s improved drastically though.

Her affection for Kilo has grown. It used to be all Kilo for cuddles and kisses, now we’re finding her to be snuggling up to him and you will see some pictures of her doing so. ~Jason, Julie, Kilo and Miss Lola.

P.S Julie has been calling her Lola Bean and beaner lol and she surprisingly reacts to it lol. She also really enjoys laying by the fireplace.

Thanks for the great update and pictures Jason! Please give Lola and Kilo a big hug from all their friends at ANML-RESQ.

Foster Home Needed - Addy is a special girl looking for a special foster home!

She is believed to be anywhere from 6 - 10 years of age and preliminary tests show that we must find a foster family who is willing to help her through some medical procedures prior to being ready for adoption.

All vetting and food will be paid for by ANML-RESQ. All you need to add is a home and lots of love.  Addy is extremely well behaved, sweet natured and is good with other dogs so long as they are "polite" with her.

If you think you could foster Addy, please fill out the on-line adoption/foster application on the left. If you have any questions, please email us at anmlresq@hotmail.com.
