Sailor Update - We received some nice pictures and update from foster mom Anne about our little boy Sailor. Here is a little update from foster mom, Anne:

Sailor is a great little dog. He has been perfect in the house and he has had the full run of the house since the day after we brought him home. He sleeps in his crate at night with the door shut and this is the same as we do with Jack. Sailor is not a cuddly dog, he does not want to sit on your lap as our Jack does. Maybe in time in would be more comfortable with this.

He is leery of men. If Sailor is on the couch and Wayne goes to sit beside him, he immediately jumps down and goes to his crate, not so with me. He pulls a lot when walking and when using a collar it caused him to cough if you pulled too hard. Sailor absolutely loves his walks, runs along until he gets tired if you don't stop him sooner and sometimes I carry him home as I'm not sure he is worn out or just being lazy. He loves to spend time in our back yard, sniffing around the flower beds and rolling and laying on the grass.

We have met dogs of all sizes and he is good with people and dogs. We have a couple of dogs around here who are not nice on a leash and their owners always ask that you stay away which we do. He met our granddaughters, who are 4 and 7, and was fine with them. They were very quiet with him and petted him nicely and he seemed to be used to children, at least when they are quiet, don't know what would happen with boisterous children. He met one of our cats but it was a stare down, nobody moved and that was it.

He is not a morning "person" when it comes to his food, Won't eat first thing like Jack and Gus. I feed him around 11:00 a.m., again at 4:00 p.m and at 9:00 p.m. and he eats it all. He is eating a combination of kibble and wet dog food. Does not eat people food and does not come to the table to beg, as Jack and Gus do.

He is an absolute delight to have around the house. He is a very quiet dog and gets along well with Gus and Jack. He spends a lot of time sleeping which all dogs do.

We cannot thank Anne, Wayne, Gus and Jack for welcoming Sailor into their hearts and home. Sailor is in much need of vetting and we will be getting his dental and neuter done as soon as he is well enough.

Tali Update - We received some great pictures of little Tali who is really enjoying life outside of the shelter. Little Tali waited so long to find rescue and we cannot thank Cosimo enough for welcoming little Tali and giving her all she needs to become a wonderful ambassador.

Tali is having the time of her life, as you can see. She loves to play ball and is learning all kinds of new and exciting things. She is another petite and tiny little girl....another pocket rott!

Tali will soon be spayed and with a little more training she will soon be posted for adoption. Welcome Tali!

ANML-RESQ Update - Hi all, I’ve been away for a couple of weeks and we have a lot of catching up to do.

Firstly, I wanted to say that we had a lovely meeting this past weekend with our board members and a couple of our valued volunteers/fosters. We had an amazing time visiting with Mega (now known as Marvin) who went to his forever home the day after we met him. He is such a darling boy and I hope we get some pictures and updates soon to share with you.

We also had the opportunity to go out and visit Baxter. WOW! What a stunning boy he is! I'll tell you, if I hadn’t committed to another foster, Baxter would have been coming home with me. We all fell in love with this handsome boy and we hope that he will soon find the BEST forever home.

All in all, it was a great weekend and it was so good to get together with good friends!

Trixie Update - We have some wonderful pictures of our girl Savannah aka Trixie. We would like to send out a HUGE thanks to Robyn and Family for welcoming Savannah into their hearts and home while we get to know her better. She is a sweet girl, who as you can see walks quite well on leash but she will pull if she sees another dog. Savannah LOVES to play with other doggies.

Savannah goes to doggy daycare a few times a week so she can run off some energy and it is her favorite thing to do ... play, play, play!

We hope that she will soon find her forever family ... a home with another dog (or 2) that can match her play-style and a nice big fenced in backyard.

If you are looking for a companion that would love to be with you on walks, hikes and backyard play...check out our girl Savannah.

Macy has Found Sanctuary - We are relieved to say that we have found a foster home for Macy (now known as Kate). This little girl REALLY needed help and thanks to Jon and Sharon, she is finally in a foster home and gaining some much needed weight.

She went to the vets last week and it was found that she has a prolapsed uterus, a growth on her tow and of course, extremely malnourished. When she arrived at the shelter she weighed a mere 39 lbs. When she arrived from the shelter into foster care she was 41 lbs. With less than a week in foster care we are pleased to say that Kate is now up to 47 lbs. Her prolapsed uterus is causing her a great deal of discomfort so we hope once Kate has gained enough weight we can get her spayed and hopefully repair the prolapsed uterus.

We have a “care package” arriving for Kate on Thursday with some generously donated items from our good friends at Creature Comfort to help Kate with her anxiety and help her gain some good healthy weight. We also have some unpasturized goats milk on the way as well and this is exactly what the doctor ordered. It is so nutritious and we are hoping it will also peek her appetite as well.

Thanks again to Jon and Sharon for welcoming Kate into their hearts and home while she recovers and transforms into the beauty we know that she is.
Welcome Kate! We are so glad we have you join our rescue family.

Congratulations Jake - We are super excited to announce that our little boy Jake has been adopted!

Best of all, he has been adopted by a family that we love!! Pamela and Tobin have fostered for us and they have adopted from us previously.

We were elated when we heard they were interested in adopting Jake. They made the trip today to meet Jake and it was love and first sight!

We would like to thank Marilyn, Mike and Stewie for welcoming Jake into their hearts and home. They worked with Jake’s potty training and he very quickly learned the ropes. We would also like to thank our good friend Lee Ann for hooking us up with Marilyn! Jake had an amazing time with his foster family while he was completely vetted.

Congratulations to Jake, Pamela and Tobin from all of us here at ANML-RESQ!! We look forward to updates.
